Nursery World Awards 2023: Congratulations to Dr Stella Louis

Dr Stella Louis received a standing ovation from colleagues representing the early years sector at the Nursery World Awards held in London on 30th September 2023.

Stella received two awards:

- Trainer of the Year 2023

- Lifetime Achievement Award

Both awards recognised Stella's ongoing dedication to supporting educators, young children and families - and her commitment to a Froebelian approach to early childhood education.

Stella leads our team of Froebel Trust Travelling Tutors. She continues to develop our Short Courses, working with early years settings, nursery schools, local authorities, government departments and charities. These are unique courses for educators working with babies and young children - introducing Froebel’s main ideas and educational approach. They are hands-on courses with a focus on the practical.

Stella is also an author with a particular interest in observation and its part in developing early learning, especially through children’s schemas.

Stella has worked with educators and schools both in the U.K. and internationally - including South Africa and Australia, where she has worked with teachers to develop a Froebelian approach to teaching and learning.
